Wedding @ 51 Buckingham Gate, St James’s Park, London
Martyn was asked to play at a wedding ceremony and drinks reception at 51 Buckingham Gate for Andrew Man and his bride-to- be.
Although a digital piano was available at the venue, Andrew was unsure about using it so both he and Martyn met up to check it out a week before the big day.
Martyn reassured Andrew that it would do the job perfectly.

For the wedding ceremony, Martyn played Pachelbel’s Canon in during the bridal entrance. For the signing, Andrew had requested 3 songs; Have I Told You Lately by Van Morrison, Bach’s Prelude in C and a famous piece of Chinese music called I Am Willing by the artist Faye Wong. Both Andrew and his bride walked out to Nina Simone’s My Baby Just Cares For Me. A great choice!
During the drinks reception, Andrew was happy for Martyn to play songs from his varied repertoire including a mixture of jazz and pop songs. However, he had a few requests which Martyn played on the day including Lionel Richie’s Stuck On You, Take That’s A Million Love Songs and a couple of David Foster songs.
