Yesterday I performed for a wedding ceremony at one of the most glamorous venues I have ever performed at. It was at Loseley Park in Surrey. Rather than the standard entrance, signing and exit, the couple wanted me to play a hymn for everyone to sing to just before the recessional, which was certainly different

One amusing thing about this was that no-one really knew the hymn and it sounded like 2 groups of people singing at different times!!!!

I have to say it was one of the friendliest atmospheres of any wedding ceremony I have every played at as a pianist.
