Wedding at Loseley Park

Yesterday I performed for a wedding ceremony at one of the most glamorous venues I have ever performed at. It was at Loseley Park in Surrey. Rather than the standard entrance, signing and exit, the couple wanted me to play a hymn for everyone to sing to just before the recessional, which was certainly different

One amusing thing about this was that no-one really knew the hymn and it sounded like 2 groups of people singing at different times!!!!

Wedding at The Olde Bell in Hurley on Thames

I performed the first wedding of 2012 on Saturday at The Olde Bell in Hurley on Thames. The couple chose an excellent selection of music for the ceremony including Vide Cor Meum for the entrance, Clair de Lune and Beethoven's Sonata Pathetique for the signing of the register, and the song Wherever You Will Go for the exit.

One bizarre thing was that I had to play in separate room to the ceremony due to the location of the piano, and had to rely on hand signals from one of the groom's best men...
